The automotive industry was a popular topic once again this past week as President Trump met with the leadership of the top domestic automotive companies. These leaders have made efforts to show they are dedicated to the talent and workforce in our country and, in many cases, right here in Michigan.
Northwood University is an important player in the automotive industry in our state and beyond. Many of our students – future leaders – traveled to the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) National Convention this week to get hands-on experience in this exciting field as the NADA celebrates 100 years of serving automobile dealers across the country.
Northwood’s partnership in this historic organization has been critical to developing many trailblazers over the years. Notably, Northwood alumnus Mark Scarpelli takes the reins as NADA Chairman this year. We will also recognize seven outstanding recipients of the Northwood Dealer Education Award this weekend, five of whom are alumni of our great University. Read more about this year’s recipients, and scroll down to the bottom of this article to watch this video and hear Northwood’s Professor Elgie Bright talk about our important partnership with NADA.
These leaders and many others have been driving automotive success at every level since Northwood was founded. We are proud to be the educational partner for one of the most exciting and dynamic industries in the world. Congratulations to the NADA on 100 years, and to all our Northwood University alumni who continue to make a difference in this industry!
Have a great weekend!
