Showcasing Northwood’s Honors Students

The leadership, hard work and achievement presented by our students at the Northwood University Honors Symposium this week was impressive! Seven students shared their diverse research projects at the fifth annual symposium event here on our Midland campus.

From sustainability initiatives in real-world businesses to the turnaround of McDonald’s, the topics were interesting and timely. Honors students commit to high level of personal and academic excellence through critical analysis of course content in addition to their other academic demands. They work closely with faculty mentors to develop themselves into some of Northwood’s most exceptional students.

Northwood provides students with the benefit of a free-enterprise lens with which to apply to the problems facing our world today. These honors students are undoubtedly the next generation of business leaders, problem-solvers, and critical-thinkers by example. We are proud to have them represent Northwood and our Honors Program.

As Jeff Phillips, Northwood’s Director of the Honors Program, said of this year’s event “quality does exist, it’s not impossible to achieve, and our students are living proof of it.”

Have a great weekend!
