Meet the General Chair – Ali Nasrallah
As the General Chair for the 55th Northwood University International Auto Show, Ali Nasrallah leads an executive team of 15 students in planning, organizing, and executing the largest outdoor, new car auto show in North America. Ali is a senior from Dearborn, Michigan, majoring in automotive marketing and management and finance. He has interned with Lear Corporation as a business development intern at the company’s corporate headquarters in Southfield, Michigan as well as an Corporate Executive Intern at LaFontaine Automotive Group, shadowing senior management throughout their different franchises.
Previously serving as the captain for Mercedes Benz, as well as being the Vice Chair for the 2017 NUIAS, Ali has been a part of the show since his freshman year. He is excited to continue the growth of the Northwood University International Auto Show by creating new and innovative ways to give insight into the rapid changes within the automotive industry.
Beyond NUIAS, Ali is very involved with the Northwood Signature Events team, serving as the President. A fun fact about this year’s General Chair is that he owns his own branding business, Nativ. Nativ’s team of six employees offers services in web development, digital marketing and design.
Ali’s vision for NUIAS is to see an expansion of the show from a marketing and professional standpoint. “I see teams representing their respective brands just as it would in a dealership. I want the show to be a “season-closer” for all automotive enthusiasts in the area” he said. When looking back on his experiences with past shows, Ali remembers looking down mall walk and seeing everyone, from team members and captains to show-goers, all enjoying the auto show. “Seeing a year’s worth of planning come together makes me so proud and is definitely a great memory of the show.
