What is your vision for NUIAS? To see an expansion of the show from a marketing and professional standpoint. I see teams staying true to their themes, representing their respective brands just as it would in a dealership. I want the show to be a season-closer for all automotive enthusiasts in the area.

A good memory of the show: Seeing a year’s worth of planning come together makes me so proud and is definitely a great memory of the show.

Why do you participate in the auto show? I participate in the auto show because I believe it is the most important event that takes place at Northwood. The NUIAS is a great experience to become more deeply connected to the automotive world.

What is your vision for NUIAS? My vision is utilizing all of the great contacts this school and the student body has to offer to create the largest most interactive show yet, with something for everyone who attends!

Something you enjoy about Northwood: I love the business mentality of everyone at Northwood. People here do not shy away from the word profit, and are ready to leave their mark in the business world.

A good memory of the show: Getting the opportunity to explain to people who are unfamiliar with the auto show that NU students get to spend all weekend in and around millions of dollars’ worth of brand new cars. no other school gets to have experiences like what the auto show has given me.

What is your vision for NUIAS? I hope to assist the Executive Board make the 55th show a truly unique and memorable experience for all visitors

Something you enjoy about Northwood: My favorite part about Northwood is the NUIAS, being a part of the Auto Show Executive Board is truly memorable as it is completely student run and gives us an opportunity to gain experience, develop our leadership skills, as well as be surrounded by spectacular vehicles.

A good memory of the show: My favorite part of the auto show is seeing all the cars being driven on to their lots and seeing all the months of work pay off.

Why do you participate in the auto show? I participate in Auto Show because it brings out all of the best elements of Northwood University: Phenomenal students working together, outstanding alumni and partner support, along with engaging the community. It has been an honor to participate and have leadership roles with NUIAS and work to improve in all of those aspects.

What is your vision for NUIAS? I hope to improve our digital presence, both on social media, along with other online avenues. As a team, we also want to become more well-connected in local Community Foundation and Chambers of Commerce and engage in more community events around the Great Lakes Bay Region.

Something you enjoy about Northwood: Northwood offers a balance between opportunities that are characteristic of larger universities while still getting the personalized learning experience of a smaller, private college.

A good memory of the show: My favorite memory of NUIAS is coming to the show with my dad when I was growing up. I remember seeing incredible cars and always being amazed at the entire event. Those early memories have stuck with me, and I hope that we continuously are able to innovate and provide those same memories for families coming to the show this year!

Why do you participate in the auto show? I take part in the auto show every year because of how this extraordinary event only continues to grow each and every year and being able to participate in North America’s largest new car outdoor auto show is just one of the many amazing opportunities given to students at Northwood.

What is your vision for NUIAS? I hope to be an effective member of this year’s executive board by assisting in growing this year’s show and obtaining new relationships with companies, dealerships and individuals that aren’t affiliated with Northwood yet.

A good memory of the show: Being co-captain of Team Honda with a team full of some of my closest friends. We were able to put on a great display and have a great time meeting new people and sharing our knowledge and passion for the brand, and for Northwood!

Something you enjoy about NU: The connections that you can make and the opportunities to get real work experience

A Good Memory of the Show: Last year I was the Harley-Davidson Captain and I was able to get on the bikes and turn them on which was a really cool experience that I would not have been able to have otherwise.

Fun Fact: My graduating class in high school had 12 kids

Why do you participate in the auto show? I think the auto show is unique to Northwood and embodies a lot of the entrepreneurial spirit and personal responsibility aspect of the student body here so I think it is an awesome thing to be a part of. It is challenging but it is very fun and a great way to grow as an individual and to meet more people here at school.

What is your vision for NUIAS? Whatever Ali and Matt want it to be! Wherever our fearless leaders want the show to go is where I want it to go!

Something you enjoy about Northwood: I love that it is a business school and what I'm learning here is extremely relevant to my life right now and will also be very useful to me in the future. I really appreciate Northwood's support of capitalism and a free-enterprise society.

A good memory of the show: When team Kia won the most spirited award this past year! We had a ton of fun working together and I'm glad it turned out so well.

Why do you participate in the auto show? I participate in the show because my love for the automotive industry started here when I was young coming to see the show. NUIAS is one of my favorite events of the year and I enjoy being apart of something that is so impactful to so many people.

What is your vision for NUIAS? Take the Thursday night preview to the next level. I want to bring panelist to the show that will express the true attitude of the Northwood Idea and ideas in which the Northwood University International Auto Show upholds.

Something you enjoy about Northwood: The people are the best part about Northwood. Whether it be my sorority, or NUIAS, being able to work such incredible people is a truly awesome experience.

A good memory of the show: My favorite memory of the Auto Show was the first time I was able to listen to the ending horns go at 5pm. I completed my first show and all of my hard work has paid off.

Why do you participate in the auto show? I have a huge passion for the automotive industry. I have always loved researching automobiles and reading about the newest releases in the industry! This show lets me build my passion, knowledge, and gain valuable contacts leading towards my future.

What is your vision for NUIAS? I will bring Asian division to the next level by adding more valuable corporate contacts and make the best experience possible for students and guests alike!

Something you enjoy about Northwood: Northwood offers a specialty major in automotive, and has internship opportunities in the auto industry that cannot be matched elsewhere

A good memory of the show: When I was Captain of Team Honda I contacted corporate, and they sent out Well-known YouTuber HondaPro Jason. He spent a day at the show and loved it! He will be returning this year!

Why do you participate in the auto show? From freshman team members to the executive board general chair, there are learning opportunities at every level of the auto show. I participate because, at the most basic level, I am a gear head through and through. My goal is to share that passion with others through this organization.

What is your vision for NUIAS? My vision for NUIAS is to transform the aftermarket division into an expansive section, incorporating all elements in the industry, from performance to off-road.

Something you enjoy about Northwood: The automotive opportunities made available to students at Northwood is absolutely incredible and the connections that you make along this journey will last a lifetime.

A good memory of the show: My greatest memory of the show is listening to the car horns resonate throughout campus on the last Sunday of the show.

Fun Fact: The spelling of my full name is Nicklas and that is the Swedish spelling much like Nicklas Lindstrom of the Red Wings

Why do you participate in the auto show? The Auto Show is my favorite event of the year. To have the opportunity to do all the negotiations, create a world class innovative display, and build a team of all students to pull this off is completely unique to Northwood. To be able to explain to an employer that you did all of this and in turn it results in the largest outdoor new car auto show in North America completely run by students is something that can change the atmosphere in an interview.

What is your vision for NUIAS? By taking on the Specialty Chair position, I have big dreams for the division and in turn in the show. I would like to increase the number of teams by 100% and make the division a destination in the show.

Something you enjoy about Northwood: Being able to start my major on the first day that I walked onto campus and the close interaction with the incredible professors that we have here at Northwood is something that I enjoy about Northwood and sets it apart from any other business school.

A good memory of the show: This past year I took on Team Aquatics where I brought Malibu brand boats to the show. By doing this, I increased the team size by 400%. I loved creating my display and hearing all the encouraging comments about how much my hard work showed as people viewed my booth. On top of this, winning an award for Most Improved that year really capped it off for me.

Why do you participate in auto show? Cars have been my passion as I've grown up. Naturally, the NUIAS is what originally motivated me to apply to Northwood. The show provides a unique experience for students that many cannot find anywhere else.

Something you enjoy about Northwood: Northwood has a wide variety of business majors that all have something unique to offer to the students. While there may be many different majors, most students here have a similar mindset and end goal towards the success of the Northwood community.

A good memory of the show: Working with my teammates of Radical Sportscars to win the "Best Aftermarket Display" award in 2017.
